I am studying at the University of Tartu in the Master’s program in European Studies. I obtained my bachelor’s degree from the Estonian Academy of Arts in the field of Art History and Visual Culture. Despite the apparent differences in these study programs, they share a crucial common element for me: the ability to “decode” what is in front of you, which applies to both art and higher education policy. Identifying problems, contradictions, and the hidden aspects, and providing my own assessment based on the rights and interests of students – that is my work. During my bachelor’s degree, I was involved in the Student Council of the Estonian Academy of Arts, where I gained experience as a member of the External Relations team, including participation in the general assembly of the Federation of Estonian Student Unions (EÜL) and as a member of the oversight committee. In the midst of the constant stream of journalistic and political information, I often disconnect by engaging with a different kind of information – books, exhibitions, and meaningful conversations.
